Fapshi Powers Innovation at Hustler's Engineering Competition 2025

The Hustler's Engineering Competition 2025, hosted in Buea as part of the Hustler's Conference, brought together young innovators to tackle real-world challenges. The event featured four key competitions: the Design Challenge, Content Challenge, Hustler's Den, and the flagship Dev War. As a key partner, Fapshi played a central role in the Dev War, empowering participants to create impactful solutions with its cutting-edge payment technology.

The Dev War tasked 12 teams with developing a freelance platform that addressed three critical issues: local payment methods, trust, and internet access. To tackle local payments, teams were required to integrate Fapshi’s APIs and SDKs into their web applications, ensuring seamless and secure transactions tailored to regional needs. Additionally, they had to devise solutions to foster trust between freelancers and clients and ensure functionality in areas with limited or unstable internet connectivity.

Team YRPpcTech emerged victorious with their innovative freelance platform. Their solution featured a robust escrow system powered by Fapshi’s APIs and SDKs, securely holding funds until project milestones were met, effectively addressing trust concerns. The team also demonstrated seamless handling of local payment methods, enabling smooth transactions across diverse regions. Their live demo of the escrow system’s functionality earned widespread praise for its practicality and user-centric design.
