UI/UX Designer

We're looking for a talented and driven UI/UX Designer to join the Fapshi team and take ownership of our user experience and interface design across all platforms. You’ll be responsible for shaping the visual language of Fapshi’s products by creating and maintaining a design system that ensures consistency, clarity, and a great experience for our users.

What You’ll Do

• Design intuitive, accessible, and delightful user interfaces across our suite of products (web, mobile, dashboard).
• Create and maintain a scalable design system including reusable components, design tokens, color palettes, typography, and interaction patterns.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and marketers to turn ideas and feedback into thoughtful, usable designs.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to guide design decisions.
• Produce wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and final UI designs using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs and interactions.
• Advocate for design consistency and UX best practices across the company.

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ years of experience in UI/UX design (bonus if you've worked on fintech or platform-based products).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in product design and systems thinking.
• Experience building or contributing to design systems from scratch or at scale.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to balance user needs with business goals in a fast-moving startup environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing for mobile-first products (especially African fintech).
• Familiarity with frontend basics (HTML, CSS, Tailwind, React components).
• Passion for fintech, financial inclusion, and improving the lives of users through tech.
